E Marvellous on the Pure Local Plus Show

To start the show, we played Gimme The Mic by Ean, featuring Sik Swagger and Grace Parry. The Love Live Music Awards, which happened last Thursday, featured the three on stage performing this very song.

Another song played on today’s show was Sweet Love by Pioneers Of Sound ft. E Marvellous. There is a bit of story to this group and Ean. He was walking down a street when he saw a woman walking in his direction, singing. He struck up a conversation, when she said that she’s a singer and her husband has a studio. He met her the next day in the GP, and the two decided it was fate. She introduced him to her husband and they were talking for a while before actually getting into the studio. Ean went away with some music given by them and wrote a song. Impressed, it went from there.

This show featured a new and exclusive segment in place of Kazoo That Tune (we ran out of kazoos, we used them all forming a kazoo orchestra at the LLMAs). This game being Rate My Plate. All of us had to create a plate of food out of play doh, the winner decided by listeners and followers online. You can vote for who you think has the best on our Facebook page.

Next, Kym asked where the name E Marvellous came from. Ean explained that it was from an old lady who he used to help out. He would say that he was marvellous and it stuck.

As for what’s coming up, Ean is in a film which is coming to Netflix soon. “The Fists Of Blood” is hopefully coming out is August, September at the latest.
