Experience The Beatles on the Pure Local Plus show

The group came together through mutual friends and getting to know each other through other bands. They have been together since July of 2024. Kym asked why they chose The Beatles as they are younger. For Tom, it started in primary school. They did a show about the 60s and they wanted a group to play The Beatles. After listening to the songs, he decided that music was what he wanted to do.

For Will, his grandfather showed him The Beatles. He was also introduced to piano and started learning. He said that he didn’t really connect with music, however, he listened to The Beatles again and something changed and it connected with him. The Beatles being his first love with music.

The group mentioned that they find many people their age do not know who The Beatles are, which is surprising considering how much is inspired by them. Kym added that when talking with musicians, no matter their age, they typically say The Beatles as inspiration. 

The group currently has no recorded music, however that may change as they plan to get some tracks recorded.

The group went around saying what some of their favourite songs to perform are. Some of them being Get Back, Twist and Shout, And Your Bird Can Sing and Don’t Let Me Down.

As typical, they played a song on Kazoo. As they are a Beatles tribute act, it had to be a Beatles song. They played All My Loving.
