The GAVO award interviews - Part 6 - Hayley and Toni from Re:Makeadmin_zojeb15x
Each day thousands of people give their time freely to protect the environment, lead youth activities, preserve our heritage, support those in need and respond to international crisis.
Taking place this September and October, the annual GAVO awards will celebrate the incredible work of volunteers in Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly and Newport. The awards are an opportunity to say thank you to those that make a positive impact in their community.
Re:Make Newport is Wales’ first permanent community repair and reuse space. Located on Skinner street in Newport’s city centre they are a volunteer led community space committed to bringing free repairs and low cost loans of household items.
They hold repair sessions 10am-1pm every day Tuesday – Saturday. The ‘Benthyg’ library of things is open all day until 4pm and is filled with new and donated items.
