Grand Mirage on the Pure Local Plus Show

To start the show, Kim got the band to tell us about how long they’ve been together. They have known each other for over ten years and have been writing with each other for a while, lots of it starting in a bedroom or music practice room in school.

The 3 that joined today, Alex, Noah and Alex again. Alex (hat) plays guitar and vocals. Other Alex plays bass and Noah plays guitar and vocals.

To describe their music style, they would say Alt Rock. They are very eclectic with their music taste, they’re inspired by a lot. To them, Alt is directionless.

They have a new track coming out on Tuesday, its called Hide or Seek and its about making the decision carry on and do what you love or to just hide away.

The idea of making film music came up to which the boys all agreed that they could do it.

They a few music videos out which were made in collaboration with friends. They have videos for Cow-Eyed Glances and Ill-Gotten Gains which are worth a watch!

Now, onto the kazoos. Kym and the band played a rendition of the Thomas the Tank Engine theme song.
