Episode 78: What'll be in the box at Elimination Chamber?
Since their last visit, a lot has changed. They’ve since got more gigs planned and have had Jim join as their bassist. They first met Jim when playing Neon Goat fest, he heard them play and liked what he heard. Later, he saw their post about trying to find a bassist and so the trio was formed.
Around a year ago, Pyrogaric performed at McCanns in support of their album “Serpent”. They also played Planet Rock Festival in Porthcawl: According to the band, people loved those songs and the reception has been great. Since those shows and album release, they have had many offers for gigs and festivals. Some of those being Giff-Fest in Wolverhampton, SavFest in Coalville and Cellar Door in Newport: the Cellar Door being a place they have played many times before.
Next topic: the dynamics of the band, especially with the addition of Jim. Keelan answered that it’s nice to have someone he can chill with and play around with on stage. He also added that it fills the stage out more as opposed to only having 2 on stage. Jamey added that having Jim fills in parts that weren’t previously there when Pyrogaric was just a duo, the basslines allow them to play other songs with the added parts.
Their current project is their next album entitled “Fracture” which will release early 2026, we got some insight into the creation and recording process of the album. They recorded a track called “Siren” in January, this being the single after Magic. Keelan played the bass as it was before Jim joined the band. They’ve since rerecorded Siren with their newly acquired bassist. Other than Siren, they’ve recorded 5 other tracks which will be released slowly throughout the year. Keelan added that it’s the same process for other albums. Although, they’ve changed the order of which instruments the record to a more conventional approach. The album had been recorded at RedRock studios in Blackwood.
Their plans for the rest of the year and going into the next are to play the shows and festivals they have booked. They also plan to release the singles from Fracture every month alongside music videos which are currently being filmed. As well as writing new songs.
You can find out more about Pyrogaric on Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok. Their music is on Spotify as well.
As for what’s next, they have a new track called “Magic” out on the 15th of August. The track is a part of their next album entitled “Fracture” which will release early 2026.
