Love Live Music Day 2026: A Celebration of our Local Music Scene

Newport City Radio will dedicate an entire day to the people who make our city sing.

On Saturday 7th March 2026, it’s our first ever Love Live Music Day — 8 hours of live interviews, guest appearances and conversations celebrating the strength of Newport’s local music scene.

From emerging artists to established performers, producers, mentors and scene-shapers, this special broadcast backed up by video and behind the scenes will shine a light on the people driving live music forward in our city.

Why Love Live Music Day Matters

Newport has always punched above its weight musically.

From grassroots venues to independent promoters, from bedroom producers to festival stages, there’s a constant rhythm running through this city.

Love Live Music Day exists to recognise that rhythm.

It’s about:
