Newports’ Premier Music Festival Returns To Beechwood Park

A Unique Setting And An Incredible Line Up 

The vibrant city of Newport is again set to host “Summer Sessions” a local music festival from Friday 25th July to Sunday 27th July.  The event runs from 5pm to 9pm on Friday 25th and from 2pm to 9pm on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th July. This highly anticipated event returns to the picturesque setting of Beechwood Park offering a scenic backdrop for an array of performances as well as children’s entertainment and food and drink stalls.

The festival boasts an impressive line up of talent featuring headliners Aisha Kigs, Parcs and local favourites The Rogues. The line up features some of the best local artists including Robyn Benge, Awdl, Shiftypop, Bryony Sier, Izzo Wizzard, Hairdye, Brook Fox, Frankie Wesson, Jamila, Eleri, Wrenna, The Moonstones, Ryan Keyse And The Nightshift and Tom Emlyn. With a diverse range of acts attendees are in for an unforgettable experience. 

Also added to this year’s event will be children’s entertainment provided by Art Haus Wales.

Summer Sessions is brought to you by the Beechwood Park Community Group in collaboration with Newport City Radio, Dirty Carrot Records and Goldtops Studios. The event is generously funded by The Shared Prosperity Funding from Newport City Council ensuring that this event is free for all attendees. 

An Event For The Whole Community  

This event aims to provide a unique platform for local artists to showcase their talents in an accessible and inclusive environment. By making it a free event, Summer Sessions ensures that everyone in the Newport community can enjoy and appreciate the richness of local music.

Stephen Howell, Co-host of Pure Local said “We at Newport City Radio are proud to be working in collaboration with Beechwood Park Community Group, Dirty Carrot Records and Goldtops Studios again to deliver this event. Building on the success of last year we are excited to be giving local artists the opportunity to perform in a unique setting. We have an excellent line up of a diverse range of acts ready to entertain the people of Newport. In addition to the children’s entertainment provided by Art Haus Wales and the various food vendors it promises to be a fantastic event.”
