Joe wag was a guest on The Mid Week Mix Up last week. He came in with Jules Benson to tell us about Reality Theatre, a project which showcases new scriptwriters, actors and musicians in a pub environment. Joe and Jules told us about their other passion, performing plays and music relating to social issues. Here’s what we found out about Joe.
Q. Do you have a bad habit?
A. I spend more money than I have when on a night out or at a gig. Beer and merchandise can be expensive.
Q. Where is the furthest place to have travelled to? Tell us a little about it
A. Cuba when I was very young, it was great but I’d like to go again now I’m a lot older.
Q. What was the first single or album you ever owned?
A. I can’t actually remember my first ever purchase but I first started buying physical albums around the age of 12. I bought a lot of Maiden albums in my childhood.
Q. Describe the best birthday cake it the world
A. Big and made of chocolate.
Q. If you could be a cartoon character for a day. Who would you be and why?
A. It’s a toss-up between Bob from Bob’s Burgers because of the food or Mrs Rabbit from Peppa Pig. You’d loaded with those jobs!
Q. The best sandwich filling is?
A. Turkey, stuffing and cranberry.
Q. Do you have any pets?
A. I have a leopard gecko called Winston. He’s a top lad.
Q. What’s the best bit of advice your parents gave you?
A. You can get a large salad tray for the same price as a small on self-scan in Morrison’s.
Q. What is your dream car?
A. 1960’S Batmobile.
Q. What was the last book you read?
A. Harley Flanagan’s Life On My Own. I’m a huge fan of Harley’s past and previous bands.
Q. Cinema or theatre?
Q. I should go with theatre. But you can’t beat the cinema!
A. Do you play any musical instruments or would you like to?
Q. I’ve been playing guitar for a couple of years now.
Q. Whose voice would you like to have for your satnav?
A. Napoleon Dynamite.
Q. What were your favourite sweets when you were 10?
A. I can’t remember what I did yesterday let alone what sweets I liked when I was 10! I’ve always been a fan of Snickers though.
Q. If I came to your house for dinner, what would you cook for me?
A. Beans on toast. I’m not a great chef
Q. What piece of advice would you give your 13 year old self?
A. Don’t go to sixth form college and pursue what you want to do!
