nown for their smart suits, cover songs and iconic key changes, 20 years on from when they first began, Westlife are back!
Formed way back in 1998 by Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh, Shane, Nicky, Kian, Mark and until 2004 Brian hit the charts with their debut album Westlife. Following their success, they've had 11 hit albums. I admit that probably back in the early days I wasn't a fan of the boys until a friend changed my mind, so thanks Jordan haha!
With their comeback tour coming up in the summer, here are a few of my favourite Westlife tracks from over the past 20 years!
Unbreakable.
Released in 2002, 'Unbreakable' is my all-time favourite Westlife track because I think it's one of their most romantic ballads and has some special memories for me from back in the day. This track is about a love between two people being unbreakable no matter what and was from their Unbreakable- The Greatest Hits Volume 1 album and was the bands 11th UK number 1.
That's Where You Find Love.
My second choice isn't one of Westlife's biggest tracks but is one of their best. I love it because I think it has a nieve 'smitten in love' kind of feel to it, the feeling of finding 'The One'. The track was from the boy's Face to Face album in 2005.
Colour My World.
My final favourite is 'Colour My World'. Being a fan of the type of songs you don't hear too often so you don't get bored of them, I love this one. It's about someone wanting someone in their lives and telling them their world is a better place with their love in it. It was also on the Face to Face album.
The boys have also achieved a load of other things over the years, including two Brit awards and a world record for being the first act to have six consecutive singles going straight to number 1 in the UK. I am so lucky to say I've had the opportunity to meet Shane, Kian and Brian, those days were amazing!
So that's the boys from the emerald isle. They are back in the summer after 6 years away with their brand new tour and album.
