A. It's hard to say really. I like a lot of classic dance, especially late 80's & early 90's. I also like a lot of current pop, like Lady Gaga, Disclosure etc. There again, I like Rock bands too, for instance, Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Queens of The Stoneage.
However, I'm open minded and enjoy listening to most music.
I've never been too keen on gangsta rap though, but even that's alright sometimes.
A. Shane and I took over the show from Evo, we share the music selection, Shane does the first hour and I do the second. If it's a catchy tune, chances are it'll be played on Pub Anthems at some point.
We have a feature on the show where the listeners have to identify the track from just hearing the bass-line and we've also started a themed rewind selection. Listeners can vote for one of 2 songs that are linked in some way.
I'm hoping that very soon, I will be launching my own new show that will feature non single tracks from classic albums.
A. I never really bought singles when I was young. I think the first one was Molly's Chambers by Kings Of Leon in 2003, which I bought on a whim after I'd heard it on the radio. I preferred compilation albums when I was younger. I loved the Now albums and I had a load of reggae/ragga compilations as well. All on cassette.
My first "proper" album (on tape again) was 3 Years, 5 Months & 2 Days In The Life Of by Arrested Developent (known for People Everyday).
A. Not at the moment, but I've had a few cats over the years (and a greyhound called Cassie when I was a kid). In my student days I adopted a stray cat that we ended up calling "Dave" for some reason. We have a goldfish but does that count? It's more of an ornament than a proper pet!
A. It makes me mad is when computers are slow or not working properly, and I hate it when people let doors slam.
A. A really good covers band who play a wide selection of styles.
A. Benedict Cumberbatch!
A. I was listening to the Radiohead album OKComputer, the other day and I caught myself singing along with it. Not exactly good karaoke material though!
A. Hopefully I'll still be in radio, having honed my production and presenting skills.
A. My ancestors. I'd like to find out what life was like for them and if I resemble them at all.
