The BBC Children in Need show from the Newport Centre on Friday 14 November will be broadcast live on BBC One Wales as inserts into the BBC’s annual extravaganza. Presenter Wynne Evans will be encouraging fundraising heroes from far and wide to come along to the venue to present their donations and big cheques raised from baking challenges, fancy dress days and, no doubt, a hundred other innovative ways of raising money for a good cause.
The live TV show on Friday will also feature the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, as well as the BBC Children in Need choir - featuring pupils from St Joseph’s Roman Catholic High School, Mount Pleasant Primary School and Croesyceiliog School - and Derek Brockway as you’ve never seen him before, plus special performances by Katherine Jenkins. Extended highlights will be broadcast in a special programme the following evening.
