Yesterday kicked off with EA leaking some of their press conference early, giving everyone a glimpse of Titanfall 2 ahead of the presentation later that day. The game will come to X-Box One, PS4, PC on October 28th, and will feature six new Titans, each with their own set of stats and abilities. On top of this there will also be a standalone offline single campaign, which looks really cool.
Prey 2 by Arkane Studios the guys who are behind Dishonored is happening. This new FPS takes place in 2032, and it will be out in 2017 for X-Box One, PS4, and PC. We only saw a short trailer at Bethesda’s conference, but it looks like that the whole game has been redesigned since we last saw it.
The EA conference also gave us a brief look at Mass Effect Andromeda, with a behind the scenes trailer. Granted we didn’t see any actual game play, we did learn that the game would be focused on the question ‘How do you get home?’ You are the alien in this universe, so watch your back. There will also be a new cast, more freedom, a ship called Tempest, and what looks to be a female lead.
Quick fire announcements from Bethesda next, and there are some new Fallout 4 DLCs on the way. Contraptions (add on four) is out next week. Vault-Tech (add on five) will allow you to build your own vaults, which is coming July 2016, and Nuka World which rounds up the trilogy.
Then there’s Bethesda VR, Doom and Fallout 4 were both playable at Bethesda’s after show, and Fallout 4 is coming to HTC Vive in 2017.
Back at EA and they made us wait for it, but we finally got a look at Star Wars. As we already knew next year Star Wars Battlefront will be updated with new content from the new films, but the big news is that we got our first glimpse of actual game play footage of a third person action adventure in 2018. Amy Hennig of Uncharted fame is heading up the team, and the game will feature new characters from the Star Wars universe. Also if that wasn’t enough already Respawn Entertainment is also making a third person action adventure, now all we need is a time machine cause 2018 is too far away.
We all wanted it, and now we’ve got it. Skyrim Special Edition is coming to PS4 and X-Box One. This updated version not only comes with not only better looking trees, but also improved snow shaders, water shaders, dynamic lighting, and MODS on console.
We can’t leave Bethesda without Dishonored 2, as we are treated to loads of in game footage, there is a much greater look on height, which gives you a lot more options to when taking down targets. When it comes to combat Emily has a few new powers, like mesmerize which causes enemies to forget that you were even there, and shadow walk which we will be using a lot. Dishonored 2 is due on PS4, X-Box One and PC and will be out November 11th 2016.
Finally Battlefield 1 rounded up the EA showcase with gameplay footage, and loads of details. The game will obviously have trademark destruction, but will also feature dynamic weather, and a host of new vehicles.
These are a couple of games from yesterday at E3, if you think something else should have made the list like the announcement of Quake Champions, or the new Elder Scrolls Legend’s info, then let us know in the comments below. Stay tuned for more gaming info and coverage at E3 2016.
