Rickman is also associated with one of the very first popular catchphrases of the Harry Potter franchise, which is actually Professor Snape’s first ever line of the franchise: "Ah, yes. Harry Potter. Our new — celebrity."
The Harry Potter franchise highlighted the excellent standard of both Rickman’s acting talents and his vocal talent. His character not only became more important, but also more confusing for fans of the franchise, and even the other actors. Rickman always stood up to what was asked of him by J.K Rowling’s writing and carried it out to the highest standard.
Rickman is one of the very few actors who Rowling spoke to, concerning the motives behind a characters actions, prior to the completion of the final book: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. It is also believed that Rickman and Rowling were the only two people to know with complete certainty exactly where Professor Snape’s loyalties lie.
Rickman’s character makes such an impact throughout the events of the franchise’s plot that the character of Harry Potter goes on to name his second son Albus Severus Potter, stating that his son was "named for two headmasters of Hogwarts. One of them was a Slytherin and he was probably the bravest man I ever knew."
This role is only one small point of a wonderful, extensive career, but many people have grown up with his excellent portrayal of this role and this said role is an example of his wonderful acting, vocal talent and how much he will be missed by the British film and theatre industries, and of course by many fans.
