t’s been a long wait for the five finalists and as the votes started coming in from our listeners and readers, it was hard to tell which song would come out on top. During the first two weeks, the votes were swinging from one song to the next, with each composition getting an equal share of the love. However, by the time the end of the poll came around, a clear winner had emerged.
With 35% of the total votes, our Best Original Song of the year is “My Biggest Fear” by Newport band, Crisis Talks.
Members of Crisis Talks will be guests on Kym & Coral’s Mid Week Mix Up show on Wednesday 31st October 5-7pm. You can hear the winning track again and the band will be playing some live music too as well as telling us about their songwriting and live shows.
Crisis Talks are currently recording new material at Studio 10 recording studio in Cardiff so if you enjoyed listening to My Biggest Fear, look out for more by the band.
Our thanks go out to everyone who took part in this competition:
All the songwriters who sent in an entry,

Special thanks to Haydn Rushworth for making four of the awesome music videos.

And of course a big thank you to everyone who took the time to listen to the songs and vote.
