Q. How long have you been writing songs?
A. I’ve been writing songs since I was a child. The first songs I created were inspired by my Grandma. Back then, she was the only one who wanted to listen to my songs but I don’t blame the rest of my family as the songs I wrote at that time were really weird and quite difficult to listen to.
Q. Do you come from a musical family?
A. My dad was the director of the Air Forces Band so I learnt a bunch of things from him. His guidance has been really useful.
Q. When you were a small child, what did you think you would be when you grew up?
A. I always wanted to be a singer but if that didn't work out I would be an accountant.
Q. Who are your favourite singers?
A. I've always admired Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Chantal Lewis, Mariah Carey and Beyonce. My parents tell me that the first song I ever danced to was 'La Negra Pola' (Beautiful Brown Woman).
Q. Where is the most interesting place you have ever been in the world?
A. Babaro Beach Resort in the Dominican Republic is beautiful but really I love to be wherever my parents are!
Q. Where would you most like to visit in the world?
A. Dominican Republic - again! Or Barcelona in Spain.
Q. Describe the best birthday cake in the world.
A. It needs to be really tasty. I don't care what shape it is but it would be interesting to see one with my face on it!

Q. Which artist would you like to write a song for?
A. Ooooh......Beyonce. Or maybe Adele, Louis Fonsi, Mark Anthony, Ed Sheeran or Meghan Trainor.

Q. Do you have a framed picture on a wall in your house? Tell us about it.
A. My parents have a big photo of me at their home. It is a BIG, BIG picture of me as they remember me. We haven't seen each other for eight years.
Q. Is there a story behind your song, 'Yo Let It Fly'?
A. The song was written to inspire people to fight for their dreams. I wanted to make a song which people can remember when they are down: a song of encouragement. I told my brother who is a music producer about my idea for my song and he created the beat for me. I worked my lyrics and melody around it. I put my heart into the recording before my brother mixed and mastered it ready for the Newport City Radio song competition. I have now registered 'Yo Let It Fly' with iTunes, Spotify and Amazon.
