or years Call of Duty have dominated first person shooter video games, but in recent years they have got sloppy. Mainly when they thought it would be a good idea to put their storylines in space! (What were they thinking?!)
But Activision heard our calls and have decided to go back to their roots of what they do best – World War II.
The Trailer opens up with what looks like D-Day. We see what I presume is your character on a boat, getting ready to land on the beach. From there the trailer is just packed with action! We see planes flying in the air which I assume points at their will be some plane missions for us to enjoy.
During the trailer we see fire surrounding your character and what looks like the antagonist climbing out of a burning tank and then holding a gun at your face.
The trailer also suggests that there will be a pretty good tank mission on the game, but whether it will be your character in the tank or just on the side of it is up for debate.
We also see a solider using a flamethrower which tells us we will be able to use them in the game. To my knowledge we have been able to use flamethrowers since the good old World at War days.
Half way through the trailer we see a lot of drama going on in your squad and after seeing one of your team mates fall from what I presume is the inside of a church tower we see a fallout between you and what the trailer suggests is your commanding officer.
We don’t see any indication in the trailer that there will be a Zombie’s campaign, but it’s more than likely that we will have that, as it is one of Call of Duty’s biggest and most popular features.
No doubt, we will probably have a mission where we will be completely alone and will probably have to use our stealth skills to get through the mission (just like that time in Stalingrad, with Reznov).
The trailer looks great and I can’t wait for the game to drop. It has been so long since we have had a great old fashioned Call of Duty game and World War II looks promising.
Call of Duty: World War II is released on November 3 but gamers that pre-order the game will be given access to the private beta.
