he 7th October is fast approaching and as of Tuesday, we're celebrating the new series being the debut of Jodie Whittaker's portrayal of the Doctor. Over the 12 days, I will be reflecting on the previous 12 incarnations of our favourite time travel Doctor. It is certainly about time that the Beeb have finally got round to releasing a second trailer, it has brought a smile to my face and it screams "DOCTOR WHO!" it is very WHO and I'm pleased that the TARDIS and the show are in safe hands.
The trailer teases, gives us little snippets of what to expect in the new series and yet it doesn’t give much away. The BBC, however, are really going to town with the idea of the Doctor now being a woman. I’m not complaining, I’m eager to see what Whittaker is going to bring to the role. I am sure it’s going to be unique and bold and many fans are going to remember her time in the TARDIS.
I’m happy that we’ve finally got a second trailer with more snippets from the upcoming series, I’m also happy with the fact that the people over at the Beeb are remaining very tight-lipped with the new series. There have been some leaks, but I’ve avoided them like the plague. I do need to say that I am pleased that I have managed to steer clear from the supposedly new TARDIS interior leak. I shall see that when the new TARDIS crew cross the threshold of the infamous blue doors of the Doctor's time machine.
What also has me excited for the new series is the fact that it has me looking back to 2005 and being filled with excitement (yet again) for the Doctor's return to our screens. My expectations for this series is high, my hopes are at fever pitch and I am itching for the 7th October to hurry up and to arrive already! Anyway here's the trailer...
Doctor Who returns in The Woman Who Fell to Earth on BBC One, Sunday 7th October 2018.
