o the moment we’ve all been waiting for has happened! The highly anticipated trailer for the second instalment of the Fantastic Beasts franchise has landed and it holds the pure magic that J.K Rowling introduced us to in 1997.
I'm intrigued to see how much Newt has changed since the events of New York. Also, are Jacob and Queenie now officially an item? PLEASE SAY THEY ARE! Apologies for the caps, I'm somewhat overly excited for the film's release and to finally get the opportunity to once more visit Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. So what has Newt and his friends got in store for us in November, let’s have a butchers shall we?
The trailer begins with a beautiful shot of Hogwarts. It truly is a beautiful sight for many of us Potter fans who have longed to return the school of witchcraft and wizardry. Upon seeing the castle, I gasped and took and even bigger gasp at our first little taster of a young Dumbledore. I am looking forward to seeing Law's Dumbledore being more hands on with the war against Grindelwald and like The Deathly Hallows, Part Two I can see the film having some beautiful wizard duels thrown in the mix!
Judging from the trailer, Jude Law has captured the eccentricity of the character and I can see him being a damn right bloody good Dumbledore! Not only were we treated to the first of many trailers but a poster arrived with it, sporting the infamous Deathly Hallows symbol in the shadows.
I'm also certain seems that the Dark Lord has people on the inside and from the trailer I certainly got the impression that the Thestral drawn carriage is in fact a prison break, carried out by what could be a handful of Grindelwald’s followers. Who knows, time will tell. Always does! The trailer also revealed the location of the second instalment in Paris!
What creatures will we see in the French capital that the young Newt Scamander is going to add and study in his menagerie of beautiful creatures from across the globe. Though upon taking a deeper look at the trailer it certain seems that the British Isles are going to be a large role in the film as there's a snippet that's taking place on the White Cliffs of Dover. Maybe a little hint of Tina and Newt's future?
We were gifted to an array of beautiful appetisers for the second film of the series and my expectations are somewhat high after the success of the previous film and the sheer brilliance of the trailer. I am as giddy as a schoolboy and I’m still in awe after my 10th viewing of the trailer.
The trailer is beautiful and rich in the pure poetry and magic that the Harry Potter universe thrives on. November feels too far away, can't it be tomorrow instead, please? No, didn't think so!
However the two questions I’m itching to find the answer for is; What do the Aurors want with Newt Scamander and WHY can’t Dumbledore face Grindelwald, why is it being left to our favourite Magi-zoologist? Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald hits cinemas on 16/11/2018. Mischief managed…
