o after December’s release of The Last Jedi it certainly does seem that us fans haven’t got long to wait for another installment in the Star Wars series. This time we have another prequel. Like Star Wars: Rogue One I’m expecting Solo: A Star Wars Story to be better than Episode VIII.
I can see us being introduced to a vast selection of new, beautiful aliens from the Star Wars universe. However, my patience was growing thin on the trailer's arrival. So when it finally landed I was "giddy as a schoolboy" as some would say. Judging by the trailer it does seem to be that Disney and Lucas Film Ltd have completely wiped the slate clean and are starting to alter certain timelines in Star Wars history.
I am hoping that we are going to have some sort of a mention of the original, ORIGINAL background story of our favourite inter-galactic gunslinger. My only issue with the trailer is I REALLY don’t like how clean the Millennium Falcon is. However, I have the inkling that with the Millennium Falcon being the property of the sinister Empire it’s going to be up to Han Solo and Co. to retrieve it for a job, and when I say retrieve we all know they’re going to steal it!
The trailer showed us a selection of characters, the only one being recognisable is Chewie. I do hope we’ll see Han win the Falcon from his good friend Lando over a card game. Also, will we see a cameo of Darth Vader or will the events of Solo: A Star Wars Story lead to his employment under the gangster Jabba the Hutt? Time will tell. I do however feel with this new instalment in “Origins” films, they’re going to be films for the fans.
However, I am looking forward to seeing what Dinsey has done with the origins of Han Solo even if it changes the timeline that many of us Star Wars fanatics know of. With just teaser and an Official trailer being released with 24 hours of eachother, it is early days at the present moment to come to a conclusion of how I feel about this film. I do have the feeling however that its going to be like Rogue One, where it was better than The Force Awakens. I do have high aspirations for this film but don't really want to build my hopes up like I did with Episode VII: The Force Awakens.
One thing I would say about this film is "Never tell me the odds!"
More speculation closer to the film’s release. Anyway, enjoy the trailer!
