ere’s my review of December and January. It’s been a busy couple of months with Christmas and New Year. This is my round up of top tv shows and films I’ve been watching, and the food I’ve been cooking.
At Christmas, I spoilt all my family with pressies. I bought my mum a Mrs Potts teapot which came with a mug. I put up my tree with my support worker, Katie. I managed to catch up with Lamsie at Atlantica Bar where Newport City Radio was hosting the Live Lounge Christmas gigs.
I saw in New Year at home watching the news, the countdown and the fireworks from across the world and London. In 2019 I still want to be part of Newport City Radio. I can’t wait to start live radio shows again as we’re currently moving buildings. I’ll have more news on that in next months blog. I really would like to go on Holiday this year. I also have my 40th birthday too.
TV: I’ve been watching The A Team. This is the original 1980’s TV show currently on 5 USA. My favourite character is BA Baracus played by Mr T. I love his phrases and the banter he has with Mad dog Murdoch.
I’ve also been watching Magnum PI. This is a remake of another 1980’s American TV show. The original has more action and has more humour. I like learning about the new Magnum PI though.
Food: My favourite food this time is Beef dinner. I like cooking the beef in the oven and using the juices for a nice gravy. I like Potatoes with a touch of rosemary, coconut block with rice and additional veg. It’s a lovely warm dinner for the cold weather
Films: I’ve been to see Creed 2. I liked the story of the young Adonis Creed, following in his father’s footsteps but also trying to be his own man. As a follow on from the successful Rocky films of the 1980s, and the 2018 film Creed, this film had so many different storylines. Adonis becomes a father himself, Rocky faces his own personal battle and then they need to combine to take on the challenge of Viktor Ivan Drago. Of course, Viktor is the son of Ivan Drago who killed Adonis’ dad, Apollo in the 4th Rocky film. Rocky had already avenged Apollo’s death, now its the turn of the next generation.
I just want to say Happy Valentine’s Day in time for February 14th. It’s a great way to show your partner how much you love them in an extra special way.
