ello again everybody, here’s my review of April and May. It’s all about guests on the radio show, what I’m watching on TV and, as always, food!
We’re moving days from Monday to Thursday in May. In April I met more of the Miss Wales contestants. Congratulations to the contestant from Rogerstone who went on to win the title. It was great seeing Sophie again as well as Charlotte and Bethany.
We had a scary moment. Everton popped in to see us with a huge knife to highlight the dangers of knife crime. Luckily the knife was a blunt replica. His advice was, in the event of someone coming towards you with a knife, run away in the first instance. If you are unable to get away then cover your body with your hands to protect your vital organs.
I’ve been watching Season five of Gotham which has now moved to E4 on Tuesdays. Bruce Wayne is on his way to becoming Batman. The main villains so far are Edward Nygma (who will become Riddler) and Ras al-Ghoul. I have also enjoying Supernatural.
In April I’ve been cooking chicken with bolognese, sauce and rice. I tend to use a jar of sauce as it’s a lot easier.
I’ve been catching up with these films over the past few months.
The Thing (1982)
A mysterious shape-shifting alien kills and impersonates its victims on an Antarctic research base manned by a crew of American scientists. The researchers face the ordeal of stopping the creature from making its way to civilisation but are in danger of jeopardising the task as mounting paranoia turns them against each other. John Carpenter's sci-fi horror remake stars Kurt Russell, Wilford Brimley, TK Carter, Keith David and Richard Dysart.
Live and Let Die (1973)
James Bond's investigation into the murder of three British agents leads him to discover a connection between the dictator of a Caribbean island and a notorious Harlem drug kingpin. A plot to flood America with limitless supplies of free heroin also surfaces. this spy adventure marks Roger Moore's first appearence as 007, alongside Yaphet Kotto and Jane Seymour.
Rush Hour 2 (2001)
The two mismatched detectives travel to Hong Kong when terrorists bomb the US embassy and soon get involved in keeping tabs on the prime suspects; high-ranking Triad members involved in an international counterfeiting ring. This action comedy sequel stars Jackie Chan, Chris Tucker, John Lone, Zhang Ziyi, Roselyn Sanchez and Harris Yulin.
Catch Ean (DJ EJ) back Thursday from 5pm with Lamsie and Chloe.
