Love – Unconditional love for yourself and everyone around you, even the people you do not like and the people across the other side of the world that you have not met yet. Unconditional love is a love without ego, a love without reason and a love without judgement. It is pure and light and a natural ability we all have within our soul.
They say love is the strongest and most powerful thing in the world. I could not agree more. It is by far the most wonderful offering you have to give and through loving yourself, you start to heal yourself and when you heal yourself, your energy becomes stronger and more brilliant.
Gratitude – Appreciation for all that is and all that you have. You already have so many things to be grateful for, but are you? Do you ever stop to think about your day and all the positive and nice things that have happened? Well, you should. Start by spending five minutes at the end of each day to think about all of the good and positive things.
Did you have clean clothes to wear today? Did you turn on the tap and have clean running water? Did somebody hug you or smile at you or even give you a compliment? Did you compliment someone else? Giving compliments are just as satisfying as receiving them – so if you are not currently the person who will say to Mary in accounts that her hair looked lovely today, try and be that person tomorrow. You may just make her day and for that you will be rewarded.
Peace – That still and calm vibration you feel inside; you are not worried or scared. You are love and peace and that is what you project out into the big world around you. Living in the moment is being mindful. Are you stopping for enough time to take in the beauty around you? Having no fear of the future, it has not happened yet and you can’t ever know what will happen so why waste the present being anxious when you can instead experience inner peace, right in that very moment? And forget about the past, it’s not important – if you did wrong or were wronged... let it go, it will only keep you from living in peace today.
Humour – Laugh, make sure you laugh a lot. Why so serious? You dropped your coffee on the floor… its ok, you didn’t drop a baby, it is just a coffee – laugh! You heard someone say something unkind about you… let me tell you, that is their business and their own judgement that needs addressing. Give your forgiveness and laugh! Live your life carefree, less stress, less worry and more humour.
Being happy for no reason at all because all of the things above are a part of you and a part of how you live your life. Try meditation, I started to meditate and it changed my life. A friend of mine joked and said to me, “Are you going to be one of those hippy vegans now then?” I laughed, the chances of me giving up a steak for the rest of my human life is not going to happen! Meditation is not for monks or vegan hippies, it is something which you can do privately at home and not even tell anyone… although once you see the benefits, you will want to share them with the world. So, let’s be peaceful and love and laugh and be grateful and most importantly – let’s be HAPPY!!
