Take meditation: A simple 15-minute meditation once or twice a day will lead you down the first path towards a new and happier version of you. The kind of you that does not require a reason to be happy. Just think of a world where you are just happy... For no reason at all!
Sounds crazy but it is very true and very real. With the feeling of being happy and full of love and appreciation, you will begin to open up the gates to co-creating your own universe. Yes, you will be able to steer yourself into the direction of your true path, with complete ease.
I started out just like you and if I am honest, the old me would probably think I was slightly weird, however - I now live a carefree life, I love without fear and condition and have faith that everything will be ok. I stay calm in situations where I'd have usually totally lost my cool. I have learnt to replace jealousy with love and resentment with appreciation.
As I have previously said, this is a daily practice, there is no quick fix. You can't meditate every day for a week and then think that the rest of your life will be an easy ride. With that in mind, this daily practise of being mindful of your thoughts and being conscious and open to loving yourself and everyone around you is actually a lot easier than you think and after being strict with yourself for the first few weeks, you will find the process becomes like second nature... Like brushing your teeth. You do it daily and give it no thought whatsoever, but if you stopped, eventually your teeth will start to rot. I guess you could say your happiness works in a similar way.
