You may have been following Chantelle's series of blogs about Indian food on this website, in which she shares some of her family recipes.
Chantelle, herself is from Uxbridge, West London but her family roots are in Amritsar, a town in the state of Punjab. The town is probably most famous as the site of the Harmandir Sahib (The Golden Temple) which was built as a place of worship for everyone, rich or poor, regardless of their religion or gender. Allegedly, it has more visitors annually than the Taj Mahal.
Chantelle has been engaged to Craig, another of our Newport City Radio volunteers since February 2010. We think it's time they named the day, we all want to buy a new hat!
Currently, it appears that there are no officially approved training courses in tattooing and so new tattooists spend up to three years as an apprentice to an experienced tattoo artist. It can take up to five years to become completely competent.
Some people get into tattooing after studying art at college. Among the most popular designs this year are tiny finger tattoos, also skylines on wrists. Of course, names of our beloved children and parents continue to be popular.
High on every young person's list of things to do is to learn to drive and own a car. Passing her driving test will change Chantelle's life in a big way. Mind you, it's an expensive business. The average person spends around £1,000 on lessons alone!
Chantelle's first car of choice is a Citroen C1 or a Fiat Punto in Candy Apple Red. Both are cheeky little cars that suit a girl who likes to zip around the city in style. In my opinion, red is the best colour for a car as it makes you feel positive and cheerful.
Chantelle has previously lived in Spain. She'd like to return to the country with her fiancé, Craig, and her crazy friends, Leanne and Sammy. Barcelona has a long and interesting history. It was founded in Roman times and much of the architecture dates back to the Middle Ages.
Today, Barcelona is one of the most popular cities for tourists. The famous Las Ramblas Street is where people head for entertainment such as mime artists and street performers of all kinds. The Primavera Music Festival and the Sonar Festival are major events held annually in this city that boasts a thriving alternative music scene.
Ah, how many of us share this ambition I wonder? Chantelle feels that being slimmer would give her confidence a massive boost. It's a tough one to get started on though, especially when you are in the habit of cooking gorgeous food at home, as Chantelle does. Some sources say that the more we worry about losing weight, the more difficult it is to do, so maybe we should just forget about weight and get on with enjoying life: let the weight get lost on its own.
Chantelle lives in a beautiful part of the British Isles for outdoor activities like horse riding. This area is begging to be explored on horseback or by walking. The benefits of horse riding include: improved posture, balance and co-ordination and stronger muscles as well as mental wellbeing. It's a great activity for de-stressing. Everyone should give it a go and there are plenty of riding stables locally to choose from.
The breed of dog that Chantelle would most like to offer a home to is a Rottweiler. They are strong dogs that were traditionally used in their native Germany for pulling meat carts or for herding cattle. Brought up in a loving environment they can be ideal family pets.
Chantelle's last ambition for now is to go travelling, visiting as many countries as she can. Her plan is to start in Australia and end with New York, before heading home. Perhaps she should think about starting this ambition very soon - it could take a while!
